Why Home School?!


Whoa I have a little experience with this myself, during the few weeks we “tried out” public education…..during which my then first grader told me “he didn’t have time to get to us today” regarding reading….and upon further prodding said “sometimes he gets to us on Wednesdays “….hahahaha Public Ed is headed to hades in a handbasket and THIS is just the proof in the pudding.

“I’d hate to be the parent of one of the 37 grade 3 students in a friend of mine’s class.

She’ll spend almost an hour and a half per day,

Giving each student TWO MINUTES of personalized attention.

Need I say more?

Two minutes. Is that what a child’s future is worth? Somewhere down the line we are going to regret making these class sizes so large. How is a child supposed to learn with so little guidance? What if they are stuck on a problem that takes longer than two minutes? Nothing. The class moves on. Trust me I know, I didn’t keep up in class but it went on without me.

  1. I really like what you said about your children not needing to have the latest gadgetry or branded clothing, for fear of not fitting in at school. That’s one of the things that I like about home educating my son. It’s also great that we learn at his own pace.
